Oops, I'm late posting....

I'm sorry. I told everyone I would post on Monday or Tuesday and this is Wednesday. I could blame it on having had a public school education, but the truth is I have been busy. My daughter is turning 14 on Friday. So you see I have been busy. The only thing that can interfere with a "soon to be" 14 years old birthday plans is a two and a half year old German shepherd mix with ear mites. Although there are many similarities. Both demand attention, both need to be walked, both are fashion conscious, and both are very sweet when sleeping. While the 14th birthday is a critical event (until the 15th birthday comes along) I find it difficult to agonize over whether the cake should be hot pink or iridescent purple. Don't get me wrong, I do care, I really do. It is just that I know that the cake will be eaten no matter what color it is, and then it will be gone. I want her to have what-ever cake she wants (except black...I mean it) but as I am not making it, the color needs to be explained to the cake decorator, not me. My daughter chose a dinner party (very grown-up) with all of her favorite people: her grandmother (Oma), her oldest brother, and an adult lady from our parish who epitomizes the quintessential Catholic woman. My daughter feels that this lady is a wonderful example of faith, dignity and poise. I won't mention her wild youth filled with parties and pole dancing, we will keep that just to ourselves, shall we? After all we are all about forgiveness. Any way that is why I am late posting and I'll just point out that whole forgiveness thing again, and ask for your forgiveness. Peace and love to you all...
